Residents of Pittsburgh are often surprised to learn about Art Institute graduates who got their start in Pittsburgh and went on to influence our daily lives as photojournalists for major metropolitan newspapers and interior designers for major firms and hotels and hospitals; entertaining us on the feature films, television shows and video games that everyone is talking about.
Art Institute of Pittsburgh Industrial Design graduates create the innovative new products we all want to buy, the cars we drive and the children’s toys we love. Video and digital media specialists bring us the news and tell the stories we watch everyday. The advertising and graphic design industry is influenced by Art Institute graduates who create visual communications for agencies, corporations and non-profit organizations all over the world.
Today, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh continues to make an impact on the Downtown landscape by introducing three new student housing complexes and over 900 year-round residents, each within three blocks of the college, located on the Boulevard of the Allies between Smithfield and Grant Streets.
