In 2010, Forbes Magazine has named Pittsburgh the best place to buy a house in America and once again, Pittsburgh is named America's 'Most Livable City" via Forbes.com. Pittsburgh also turned up tied for 13th best Eco-city in the world and third in the USA! Forbes.com also ranked Pittsburgh among the best places to raise a family. There's good news for entrepreneurs—in August, Pittsburgh ranked as one of the best cities for entrepreneurs via Entrepreneur.com.
In 2009, Pittsburgh was named one of the top ten cities for job growth by Forbes.com and ranked as one of the strongest U.S. Metro economies by Business Week.
In 2008, Pittsburgh ranked among the top ten in Forbes Top 10 Up-and-Coming Tech Cities. The Pittsburgh region also ranked number one in the nation for Venture Capital Growth, as cited in The PRA Post, April 2008. Also, Pittsburgh was named an up and coming city for environmental efforts by Grist.org, a Website for environmental news.
In 2007, Pittsburgh was named "America's Most Livable City" by Places Rated Almanac. Pittsburgh is also one of America's Hottest Cities for business relocation and expansion, according to Expansion Management. In addition, the city was named Top City for Geeks, by Wired magazine. Also in 2007, Pittsburgh ranked among the top ten of the World's Cleanest Cities by Forbes magazine. Pittsburgh was named one of North America's top three Cities of the Future by Foreign Direct Land Investment magazine, an affiliate of the Financial Times, London. Recently, Pittsburgh was also named one of the 10 most underrated U.S. cities. Projects are constantly underway to enhance Downtown's appeal for every imaginable endeavor.
