Attacking Graffiti
Street-level graffiti detracts from the beauty of our Downtown neighborhood and contributes to public perception that Downtown is not well cared for and unsafe. But thanks to the PDP's Clean Team Program, graffiti doesn't stand a chance in our vibrant, urban neighborhood!
The PDP's Clean Team Program offers graffiti removal to property owners within the boundaries of the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID). Our policy is to be as aggressive and committed as time and manpower permit.
Graffiti: What Can Be Done?
Help us identify graffiti in your area
- Removing graffiti: If there's graffiti on your Downtown property, the Clean Team will take care of it! All we need to get started is a signed release form by the Property Owner or Manager.
- Reporting graffiti: Call the Clean Team Help Line at (412) 589-0110 or send us an e-mail. If you have a smartphone handy, take a photo of the graffiti site and send it to us via e-mail or Twitter @DowntownPitt.
- Learn more about the City of Pittsburgh's ordinances on graffiti.
Clean Team in Pictures: Before and After
PDP's Clean Team Ambassadors work extra hard to ensure that Downtown is in pristine condition for all who live, work and play in our neighborhood. Each day, the Clean Team walks the Golden Triangle in search of unsightly graffiti, overgrown planters and trash on the street. They also log many hours on the various pieces of machinery, all used to make Downtown sparkle and shine! Check out some of the impressive before and after photos taken by the Clean & Safe Operations Supervisor.
