Paul J. Hochendoner
Manager, Clean and Safe Programs

Mr. Hochendoner manages the daily operations of the Safety Ambassador and Clean Team Programs and collaborates with local social service agencies, police and other emergency service providers in order to develop a strong network to keep Downtown clean and safe. Mr. Hochendoner utilizes his counseling skills while working with the homeless population.

A native of Pittsburgh and resident of Greensburg, Pa., Mr. Hochendoner earned his B.A. in Psychology from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., and his Masters degree in Counseling from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.

 

Tim Earnest
Clean and Safe Operations Supervisor

Mr. Earnest is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the PDP's Clean and Safe Program.

Mr. Earnest is excited to call Pittsburgh his new home and looks forward to experiencing all the culture, history and of course, the rich sports tradition that Pittsburgh has to offer. In his free time, Mr. Earnest enjoys running, music, trying new things and spending time with his dog, Scooter.

A native of Indianapolis, IN, Mr. Earnest earned a bachelors degree in Anthropology and History from Purdue University.
 

  Rich Dethlefs
PDPStreet Team

Rich Dethlefs was born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Criminology in 2008. Prior to working for the PDP, Rich worked as a safety ambassador for the Downtown Akron Partnership in Akron, Ohio. In his spare time Rich enjoys playing the guitar, golfing, and spending time with family.

 

Riley Baker
Director of Volunteer Services
PDP Street Team

Mr. Baker received his B.A. in Sociology from SUNY Fredonia. While pursuing his degree, he worked in the service industry honing his people skills. Mr. Baker looks forward to a new challenge and adventure working with the PDP Street Team and having the opportunity to do a little good here in Pittsburgh. In his spare time, Mr. Baker enjoys reading, cooking and hiking.

 

Ken Leindecker
PDP Street Team

Prior to joining the PDP Street Team, Mr. Leindecker worked in the Mental Health Care Field for 15 years, including positions working with MBH, WPIC and ACES. He also experienced working with drug/alcohol population as well as mental health issues. Mr. Leindecker also works part-time at both Mellon Arena and The Peterson Events Center. 

Mr. Leindecker is married and has a 25 year old son. In his spare time, he likes to read and watch sports. Mr. Leindecker graduated from Duquesne University with a B.S. in Nursing.

 

  Richard Speth
PDP Street Team/Team Leader

Mr. Speth comes to the PDP with many years of service to the Pittsburgh along with a degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh. For 28 years, Mr. Speth was employed as a City of Pittsburgh Police officer. He was assigned to Zone 2 Police station working the Downtown and the Hill District. Retirement came for Mr. Speth in 2004. Since 2004, he has supervised security for Penn Hills High School and Middle school for two years. He also served as Safety Director for a series of health clinics owned by Primary Healthcare of Sharon PA. For the past year, Richard has enjoyed retirement spending time with his family, working on various projects and enjoying hunting and fishing.  Richard was born and raised in Pittsburgh residing for 57 years
