PITTSBURGH, PA —Thanks to the growing popularity of the Market Square Farmers’ Market on Thursdays, some of the farmers and specialty food vendors have decided to continue selling their products through mid-December. This is the perfect opportunity for Downtown residents and workers to purchase unique gifts and stock up on fresh foods for holiday gatherings.
The Farmers’ Market features a wide variety of local favorites, from mouth-watering pierogies and homemade salsa, to fresh berries and vegetables, cakes and specialty chocolates. Patrons will also enjoy the ambience of Market Square’s vibrant, urban space, which will soon be adorned with festive decorations to celebrate the upcoming holiday season.
The Farmers’ Market will continue to be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday through Dec. 18 (excluding Thanksgiving Day.) Participating vendors include: Little Athens, Colaizzi Brothers, Cinco de Mayo Salsa, Rise Above Bakery, Gosia’s Pierogies*, Harvest Valley Farms*, Mung Dynasty* and Sand Hill Berries.
(*Nov. 20 is the last day for these three vendors.)
If you have questions about the Farmers’ Market, contact Katie Zawrotniak, Program and Events Manager at 412-566-4190.
