Rachel Carson Bridge Work & Lane Restrictions to Begin on April 25
PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County Public Works today announced that work will begin on the Rachel Carson Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh on Monday, April 25, and continue through Monday, May 9. Contractors will be repairing steel and conducting spot and zone painting.
In order to accommodate the work, either the northbound right lane or the southbound right lane, as well as the adjacent sidewalk, will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists should use caution and watch for changing traffic patterns. Signs will also be posted to guide pedestrians to the open sidewalk.
Once repairs are completed on the Rachel Carson Bridge, work will shift to the Andy Warhol Bridge, and then to the Roberto Clemente Bridge. All work is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, June 16. Additional information will be released prior to work on each subsequent bridge.
