Post-Gazette: Cheers to a fine year in dining: A diverse group of restaurants opened this year

The year 2010 was an exciting one for Pittsburgh dining. New entries ranged from modern American fine dining to casual Italian to home-style Korean. They were a diverse bunch, but there were a few common themes. Restaurants opened at a wide range of price points this year, but fewer were genuinely expensive and more were casual with high-quality food. Many newcomers have put a greater emphasis on vegetarian and vegan options. Unlike past years when one area had a larger share of development, this year's openings were spread through many neighborhoods.
