Pittsburgh Business Times - Study: Walking and spending on the rise Downtown
The last time Downtown pedestrians were polled about their experience in Market Square in 2006, respondents associated the spot with “riff-raff,” pigeons and drugs, according to a study commissioned by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.
But during the organization’s 2008 survey, nearly 70 percent of those asked said Market Square has taken turns for the better, and cleaner.
