The city plans to use nearly half of the $1.1 million it will make from selling three Wood Street properties to PNC to fund two new programs promoting Downtown revitalization, administration officials announced on Tuesday.
The rest of the money will go toward financing similar, ongoing efforts in other business districts, said a spokeswoman for Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl.
PNC Financial Services Group agreed to pay the assessed value for the three buildings in the 400 block of Wood, said Megan Stearman, a spokeswoman for the city Urban Redevelopment Authority.
