Tribune Review: Downtown office vacancy rate falls to 15.4 percent

 

 
Despite the economic slowdown, Pittsburgh's office market improved as vacancies declined and rental rates increased during the three-month period ended June 30.

The vacancy rate among the region's office markets fell to 15.4 percent from 15.9 percent for the three months ending March 31 — as nearly 370,000 square feet of space was leased from April through June, according to a report Tuesday from Grubb & Ellis/Pittsburgh. A year ago, the second-quarter vacancy rate was 15.6 percent.
