Mark Shoemaker soaked in a few moments of peace before work this morning in what would have been an unlikely spot Downtown before its transformation began a year ago.
Cafe tables with red, orange and blue umbrellas have replaced the yellow backhoes and forklifts that have scoured Market Square since August 2009. Construction workers removed barriers to allow cars from Forbes Avenue to drive counter-clockwise around the flat piazza's perimeter.
