Construction crews will begin Market Square's long-awaited makeover next month.
The $5.1 million project is part of an ambitious strategy to transform the square's image among Downtown visitors as an unwelcoming mix of traffic and vagrants to an open, European-style piazza dotted with sidewalk cafe tables, decorative lighting and shady trees.
