Outdoor sidewalk cafes in the Downtown area have brought in new customers since a "Paris to Pittsburgh" program was initiated two years ago, officials say.
The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership wants to change rules governing sidewalk cafes to help them expand and ensure quality service stays in place when a remodeled Market Square reopens.
It's asking the Pittsburgh Zoning Board of Adjustment at a hearing Thursday to change the city's sidewalk cafe ordinance that went into effect this year.
